BATON ROUGE – Frank Greeff, a management freshman in the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business and a member of the LSU Swimming & Diving team, was named a Student-Athlete of the Month by the Cox Communications Academic Center.
Each month, the center recognizes five student-athletes for their academic improvement and dedication. To highlight their hard work throughout their rigorous academic and athletic schedules, the students’ pictures are displayed on the wall in the Cox Communications Center.
According to LSUsports.net, Greeff is a native of South Africa, where he holds top times in the 200-meter fly, 200 free and 200 individual medley in his age group. Before attending LSU, he was one of the top prep swimmers from South Africa and earned awards for his various leadership positions.
The Rucks Department of Management at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business endeavors to prepare students for careers in fields such as international management, human resources, entrepreneurship and industrial/labor relations. A generous donation by LSU alumnus William W. Rucks and his wife, Catherine, has aided the department in securing faculty who are repeatedly recognized for their research and has aided student-affiliated organizations in achieving top honors nationally.
