BATON ROUGE – Matt McCarroll, founder and chief executive officer of Dynamic Offshore Resources, has joined the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council. He will serve on the council as part of its Marketing & Public Relations Committee.
Prior to establishing Dynamic Offshore Resources, McCarroll served as president of Augusta Petroleum Partners and Maritech Resources Inc. He was an original member of the senior management team of Plains Resources Inc. and remained with the corporation until 1998. During his time there, he held several management positions, including vice president of Land and Exploration. Early in his career, McCarroll held positions with Great Southern Oil and Gas in Lafayette, La. and Amoco Production Company in New Orleans.
McCarroll earned his bachelor’s in business administration and finance from LSU, and he currently serves on the board of directors of the National Ocean Industries Association. In addition to his professional career experience, he has held several leadership positions within associations in the oil and gas industry.
Founded in January 2008, Dynamic Offshore Resources is a private company that focuses on acquiring and developing oil and gas producing properties in the Gulf of Mexico. The company has grown through a combination of acquisitions and successful exploitation of existing fields, and it is currently one of the largest privately owned producing companies in the Gulf of Mexico.
DAC exists to promote and improve the E. J. Ourso College. The accomplished professionals who form its membership donate their time, talents and resources to support the dean in his efforts to enhance the substance and image of the E. J. Ourso College.
