    Admissions Policy for Students Following the 2011-2012 Catalog and Later, Effective Fall 2011

    Students are eligible to apply for admission to the E. J. Ourso College of Business once they have successfully completed the following requirements:

    • 30 Hours of University coursework
    • Pre-Business core classes with a "C" or better:
      • English 1001
      • Math 1021
      • Math 1431
      • Economics 2000
      • ISDS 1102
      • Accounting 2001

    Students majoring in accounting, finance, management, or marketing must meet the following gpa requirements at the time of their application for admission into the major:

    • 3.0 cumulative gpa
    • 2.5 cumulative LSU gpa
    • 2.5 business gpa
    • 2.5 LSU business gpa

    Students majoring in economics, general business administration, international trade and finance, or information systems and decision sciences must meet the following gpa requirements at the time of their application for admission into the major:

    • 2.0 cumulative gpa
    • 2.0 cumulative LSU gpa
    • 2.0 business gpa
    • 2.0 LSU business gpa

    Application Process:

    Students may submit an application for admission to the E. J. Ourso College of Business in 3304 Patrick F. Taylor Hall once classes for the current semester have ended. Applications are reviewed after final grades have posted. Students may submit application forms up until the last day to add courses for the following semester in which they intend to enroll. A student's overall gpa, LSU gpa, business gpa, and LSU Business gpa can be found on the degree audit.
