Eli Jones is the dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business and the E. J. Ourso Distinguished Professor of Business. Widely published in major marketing journals, he is also the co-author of Selling ASAP: Art, Science, Agility, Performance and Strategic Sales Leadership: BREAKthrough Thinking for BREAKthrough Results. Jones' research is primarily focused on issues related to the changing sales force — sales force diversity, sales force change management and sales force technology adoption and performance, salesperson motivation, and buyer-seller relationships. He is listed in Marquis Who's Who in America, Madison Who's Who, International Who's Who Historical Society, and has been featured in several national publications, including Sales & Marketing Management, Selling Power, Biz Ed, Business 2.0, and The New York Times. Jones has received Excellence in Teaching awards on the university, national, and international levels. In August 2008, he was honored with the KPMG PhD Project Marketing Doctoral Students Association Award and, in March 2009, he was named a Mays Business School Outstanding Alumnus. Additionally, before becoming a professor, he worked in sales and sales management for three Fortune 100 companies. Jones earned his bachelor's, MBA, and PhD from Texas A&M University. |

Michael V. Martin assumed his appointment as LSU's eighth chancellor in 2008. Prior to joining LSU, Martin established a distinguished career in higher education, serving most recently as president of New Mexico State University. Before arriving at NMSU in 2004, Martin served for six years as vice president for agriculture and natural resources at the University of Florida, leading the university's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences with more than 3,000 employees statewide. He was elevated to senior vice president of the University of Florida shortly before being selected as NMSU's president. Previously, he was vice president for agricultural policy and the dean of the College of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences at the University of Minnesota. He began his academic career at Oregon State University as a faculty member in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. A native of Crosby, Minn., Martin earned a bachelor's degree in business and economics and a master's degree in economics at Mankato State College (Minnesota State University) in Minnesota. He received his PhD in applied economics from the University of Minnesota in 1977. His areas of specialization are prices, international trade, public policy, transportation, and business logistics. |

Randy Ewing is the owner and president of Ewing Timber Co., a timber, land, and farming business in Jonesboro, La. Ewing has devoted much of his life to serving the people of Louisiana. He previously served as a state senator for Jackson, Lincoln, Ouachita, and Union parishes from 1988 to 2000. While in office, he has served on numerous senate committees and councils, including the Judiciary Board Committee, Health & Welfare Committee, and the Governor's Special Budget Task Force. From 1996 to 2000, Ewing served as the state senate president. In addition to his work in the senate, he has served on the board of directors for a Council for a Better Louisiana, Louisiana Methodist Foundation, Steps to Success, Louisiana Forestry Commission, and Louisiana Law Institute's Tax Study Committee. In 2007, Ewing was named an Outstanding Philanthropist by the North Louisiana Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals. He was also awarded Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana's "Champion for Children" Award. Ewing earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from LSU in 1966. He was inducted into the E. J. Ourso College of Business Hall of Distinction in 1999. |

Holly Clegg is the president and CEO of Holly Clegg Inc. and the author of the best-selling trim&TERRIFIC© cookbook series, including a diabetic cookbook with the American Diabetes Association, Eating Well Through Cancer, and KIDS COOKING for Mommies. She has appeared on national television shows like "Fox & Friends," "NBC Weekend Today," and "The 700 Club." Recently, she partnered with Wal-mart to help develop healthy and affordable meal solutions with cooking videos. Clegg has garnered a national reputation as the health "Queen of Quick!" Her new book, Too Hot in the Kitchen: Secrets to Sizzle at Any Age, will be available this fall. Local recognitions include being named an Influential Women in Business in 2000, one of the Twelve Most Outstanding Women of 1999, Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI) Outstanding Marketer of the Year, and YWCA Women of Achievement Award for Professional-Entrepreneur. In addition to earning a bachelor's from Tulane University, Clegg attended the Cordon Bleu Cooking School in both Paris and London. |

Perry J. Franklin is the president of Franklin Industries LLC, a public, governmental and environmental affairs firm that offers services in public affairs, project management, and emergency response/crisis management. With more than 50 years of combined experience, Franklin's team has worked with clients such as Cox Communications, Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure, Fregonese Associates, Goody Clancy Associates, and URS Corporation. Before founding Franklin Industries, he was the executive director of Mid-City Redevelopment Alliance Inc. In addition to his duties with his firm, Franklin serves on the Baton Rouge General/General Health System's Board of Trustees, the board of directors for Shaw Center for the Arts, Baton Rouge Catholic Diocese School Board, Baton Rouge Area Chamber, Sacred Heart Men's Club, Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, and as president of the A.P. Tureaud Sr. LSU Black Alumni Chapter. A graduate of LSU, Franklin earned a Bachelor of Science in business management in 1992, and received his EMBA in 1998. |

Tony Simmons is the executive vice president of McIlhenny Company, the makers of Tabasco® brand pepper sauce. Beginning in 1997, Simmons served as a member of the board of directors for McIlhenny Company and, in 2000, he accepted an offer to become executive vice president. He represents the fifth generation of the McIlhenny family to make Tabasco® sauce. Before Tabasco®, Simmons worked as the brand manager for Manitowoc's maquiladora (twin plant) operations in McAllen, Texas and Reynosa, Mexico. In 1990, Simmons presented a plan to Manitowoc to open and run a new distributorship that would serve the Carolinas and Virginia, based in Charlotte, N.C., which Manitowoc accepted. In 1993, Simmons purchased that distributorship, renamed it Manitowoc Southeastern, and expanded the operation to include Georgia, Florida, and the Caribbean. When he sold the business in 1999, Manitowoc Southeastern had grown to include offices in Charlotte, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale; employed 25 people; and generated $20 million annually in revenue. In addition to his responsibilities with McIlhenny Company, Simmons is a member of the Board of Directors for Avery Island Incorporated and the Sub Chapter S Association. Simmons graduated with a bachelor's from Loyola University of New Orleans in 1974. A native of New Orleans, he lives and works on Avery Island. |

Thomas Teepell is the chief marketing officer for Lamar Advertising Company, one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Founded in 1902, Lamar currently operates more than 150 outdoor advertising companies and has more than 70 transit franchises that reach driving audiences across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico with billboards, digital advertising, and bus advertising. Teepell has conducted sales and marketing seminars around the world for television, radio, magazine, and outdoor industries. He is the author of the audio and video tape series, Disciplined Selling, and can be found online at http://tommyteepell.com. Teepell serves on the Outdoor Advertising Association of America Marketing Committee and was a co-chairman in 1991, 1994, 200,1 and 2003. He has served on the board of directors for the Louisiana Council on Child Abuse, Playmakers, The Louisiana Christian Home Educators, the Dunham School, the National Black Home Educators Association, the Traffic Audit Bureau, and the Baton Rouge Crisis Center. He was also active in the United Way Pacesetter's Campaign, the Rotary Club, and the United Way Speaker's Bureau. Teepell graduated from LSU's E. J. Ourso College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1973. He was named to the Dean's List and was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa honorary leadership society. Teepell also served as president of the Kappa Alpha Order and Interfraternity Council. |
