Sarah Borders, a partner with the law firm King & Spalding, has been named to the Dean’s Advisory Council of LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business.
Borders serves as the head of King & Spalding’s Global Finance Practice. Established in 1885, the firm provides the highest caliber legal counsel to clients from the United States and abroad and has more than 800 lawyers on staff. King & Spalding sprots offices in Atlanta, Ga., Houston, Texas, Dubai, London, New York, N.Y., Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Washington, D.C.
A resident of Atlanta, Ga., Borders graduated from LSU in 1984 with a bachelor’s in business and public administration and earned her J.D. Law from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1988.
Once a law clerk for Judge Henry A. Politz of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Borders has extensive experience representing both creditors and debtors in some of the nation’s largest workouts, restructurings and bankruptcy cases. She recently served as debtor’s counsel to numerous corporations, including World Health Alternatives Inc., Titan Inc. and Rhodes Inc.
DAC exists to promote and improve the E. J. Ourso College. The accomplished professionals who form its membership donate their time, talents and resources to support the dean in his efforts to enhance the substance and image of the Ourso College.
