LAFAYETE, La. – The LSU Highway Safety Research Group’s recently released 2010 Louisiana Annual Traffic Records Data Report was highlighted in the recent Advertiser article “Louisiana traffic deaths drop to lowest level since 1984.”
“Last year was the third consecutive year that deaths declined on Louisiana’s roads,” the article states. “Last year’s fatalities dropped 12.6 percent from the previous year’s count of 824. Injuries dropped 6.9 percent from the 2009 total of 73,900.”
