    KELLER QUOTED REGARDING BIOTECH INDUSTRY

    October 17, 2011

NEW ORLEANS – Roy Keller, director of the Louisiana Technology Transfer Office, was quoted in the recent nola.com article “New Orleans will host convention that is vital to the biotech industry.” The article reviews the importance of the Small Business Innovation Research convention in November 2011.

Keller commented on the ideal of businesses relocating to Louisiana to take advantage of the facilities and tax breaks, while government agencies would favor local grant applicants.

“Bottom line is we don’t want just a bunch of R&D facilities here; we want companies actually producing stuff, from an economic development standpoint,” Keller was quoted as saying.

The article was published October 16, 2011, and can be read here.
