Diplomats for Diversity

Ourso College of Business' Diplomats for Diversity is a student organization established to assist the Diversity & Inclusion Initiative with the recruitment and retention of minority undergraduate students. Diplomats attend student activities on and off campus. In addition, they work with the coordinator of the Minority Business Program to develop programs that support and create community among minority business and pre-business students. Diplomats also mentor students enrolled in the Bridge to Success Program. |

Omicron Delta Epsilon (Honorary)
National Website Omicron Delta Epsilon is one of the world's largest academic honor societies. The objectives of Omicron Delta Epsilon are recognition of scholastic attainment and the honoring of outstanding achievements in economics; the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty in economics within colleges and universities, and among colleges and universities; the publication of its official journal, The American Economist , and sponsoring of panels at professional meetings as well as the Irving Fisher and Frank W. Taussig competitions. Currently, Omicron Delta Epsilon has 578 chapters located in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Egypt, France, and United Arab Emirates. With such a broad, international base, chapter activities vary widely, ranging from invited speakers, group discussions, dinners, meetings, etc., to special projects such as review sessions and tutoring for students in economics. National Website Sigma Iota Epsilon (SIE) is an honorary and professional management fraternity. The Department of Management began sponsoring a chapter of this fraternity in 1994. To be a member as an undergraduate, a student must have a 3.0 grade-point average; for a graduate student, a 3.25 grade-point average is required. |
